As announced by the Balearic Ministry of Education, registrations for public daycare centers and schools will take place between May 20 and 28. These dates apply to first-time enrolments as well as to changes of school.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/isla-travel.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/blai_bonet_grundschule_santanyi.jpeg\" alt=\"Blai Bonet elementary school in Santany\u00ed\" width=\"680\" height=\"510\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-25958666\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Age groups at a glance<\/h2>\n<p>Registration covers various educational levels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Daycare centers (Escoletes):<\/b> from three months<\/li>\n<li><b>Preschool (Infantile):<\/b> from 3 years<\/li>\n<li><b>Elementary school (Primaria):<\/b> from 6 years<\/li>\n<li><b>Intermediate level (Secundaria\/ESO):<\/b> from 12 years<\/li>\n<li>Registrations for special schools are also accepted during this period.<\/li>\n<li>There are separate dates for the upper school (Bachillerato, ages 16 and up) from June 20 to 26.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Registration: Digital or in person<\/h2>\n<p>Parents can digitally support their children via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caib.es\/sites\/escolaritzaciocurs\/ca\/inici-45806_1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"School registration via the Spanish Ministry of Education\">official link<\/a> of the Ministry of Education. Access is possible via the Cl@ve and Gestib systems or by anonymous registration using a NIE number and cell phone number. In the case of anonymous registration, it is necessary to subsequently submit documents in paper form.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, registration can also be done in person by making an appointment with the secretariat of the desired school within the specified period.<\/p>\n<h2>How the places are allocated<\/h2>\n<p>The allocation of school places is based on a points system that takes into account various criteria such as proximity to the parents' place of residence or workplace, the presence of siblings at the school or the employment of a parent at the school. Social and personal circumstances such as disabilities, chronic illnesses or belonging to a disadvantaged group can also contribute additional points.<\/p>\n<h2>Special features in Palma<\/h2>\n<p>In Palma, the number of school selection zones has been reduced from eight to three.
