A new attempt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When you talk about tolls on Mallorca, your ears may still be ringing from the <strong>S\u00f3ller tunnel debacle<\/strong> At that time, M\u00e9s per Mallorca wanted to create the \"<strong>public interest<\/strong>\" and abolished the toll - only to later introduce a <strong>big bill<\/strong> and a <strong>Conviction by the Supreme Court<\/strong> to cash in. But the party does not seem to be so easily discouraged by setbacks. Their new plan? Who wouldn't get the idea to visit the <strong>Traffic<\/strong> to be curbed somewhat in this way? The planned toll would be due on the island's main arteries, including the highways from <strong>Palma to Andratx<\/strong>, <strong>Llucmajor<\/strong>, <strong>Inca<\/strong> and the streets of <strong>Manacor<\/strong> and by the <strong>Tramuntana<\/strong>. Only vehicles that <strong>not on Mallorca<\/strong> are taxed - i.e. rental cars - would have to pay. The locals? They could continue to cruise around carefree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>M\u00e9s per Mallorca sees this as a <strong>Win-win situation<\/strong>The island will be relieved, the roads will be maintained with the tolls, and the <strong>Flood of tourists<\/strong> is finally making a financial contribution to the infrastructure. A little d\u00e9j\u00e0 vu to the S\u00f3ller tunnel remains, of course, but they say yes: <strong>\"Who dares, wins.\"<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">S\u00f3ller: Is the toll coming back?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of S\u00f3ller - the <strong>Tunnel history<\/strong> is far from history. After endless <strong>Traffic jams<\/strong> In recent weeks, the people in charge at S\u00f3ller town hall have been thinking out loud about <strong>Toll for non-residents only<\/strong> should be reintroduced. After all, who wants to stand in an endless avalanche of traffic when you just want to get to the city center quickly?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan to open the Center for <strong>Non-residents<\/strong> almost sounds like an urban legend, but it is actually being seriously considered. <strong>Cameras<\/strong>, <strong>Parking spaces on the outskirts<\/strong> and shuttle buses should <strong>Solve problem<\/strong> - at least that's the theory.
