Not quite the daily connection that Mallorca's tourism industry was looking forward to, but still: United Airlines<\/strong> <\/a>will be increasing the number of weekly flights between Palma<\/strong> and New York\/Newark<\/strong> up. Instead of three direct connections, there will be May 23, 2025<\/strong> four weekly flights - that means 30 percent more seats for everyone who wants to commute between the two hotspots. Whether for the sun on the island or the hustle and bustle in the Big Apple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Mallorca vibes\" for the USA: a growing trend<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It's not really surprising that Americans are increasingly keen on Mallorca. In recent years, our island has become a popular destination - not only for Europeans, but also for the adventurous from overseas. They love the mix of glamorous beach clubs, cultural highlights and relaxed villages in the island's interior. And of course they are known for their spending power - no wonder they are courted on the island. There aren't quite as many of them as German or British holidaymakers yet, but the trend is rising steeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United Airlines expands - but Mallorca remains special<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Flying since 2022 United Airlines<\/strong> the Palma-New York route in the summer months. And while the route between Madrid<\/strong>, Barcelona<\/strong> and the USA are served all year round, Mallorca remains a seasonal highlight. The demand is there, no question - and the increasing supply shows that the island on the other side of the Atlantic has long been on the radar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New routes for summer 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From summer 2025, in addition to the four weekly flights from Palma to New York, there will also be a few new connections in Spain.
