In a dramatic confrontation, a resident in Palma de Mallorca injured a burglar so badly that he had to be hospitalized. The incident took place early in the morning in the Pere Garau neighborhood, reports isla Magazine, citing the National Police. The burglar, an Argentinian with a criminal record, was later arrested but was released after a hearing before a judge.
The break-in was discovered on the morning of April 7 when a neighbor heard noises coming from a neighboring apartment and went to investigate the cause. There he came across the broken door of an apartment that was used as storage for medical equipment and computers. Upon entering, the neighbor saw the intruder attempting to steal valuable items.
Without hesitation, the brave resident confronted the thief and a scuffle ensued in which the burglar suffered serious injuries. The police arrived while the neighbor restrained the intruder. The perpetrator had to be taken to hospital outside the police station due to his injuries.
