The Palma International Boat Show, which has been setting the sails for the European yachting and water sports season since it was founded in 1983, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. From April 25 to 28, the historic port of Palma de Mallorca will be transformed into a showcase of maritime dreams, where almost 300 exhibitors will present everything from fishing hooks to €20 million superyachts over an area of 82,000 square meters.
The fair, which had its humble beginnings in Alcúdia, has developed into a central meeting point for the international yachting industry. Under the aegis of the Institute for Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands, which is characterized by low stand fees, the event attracts trade visitors with a genuine interest in buying.
This year's show is divided into two main areas: the general boat show and the Palma Superyacht Village. While the Boatshow offers a wide range of water sports products, the Superyacht Village exhibits around 70 luxury sailing and motor yachts for sale and charter.
A highlight of the event was the spectacular drone show on Friday evening, which illuminated the celestial backdrop of the harbor and accompanied the anniversary celebrations.
The fair honours long-standing participants and supporters, such as the company Comercial Morey and the organizers of the first fair in Alcúdia, who played a decisive role in the development of the event.
The Palma Boat Show remains an unforgettable experience for all those who share a love of the sea and boating, and offers a perfect platform to immerse yourself in the world of maritime luxury.
