Love isla-friends,
It's that time of year again: 2024 is drawing to a close. On Mallorca, the almond trees are already flexing their muscles for their grand entrance in February, and somewhere in a Tramuntana village, someone is guaranteed to have just fired up a wood-burning stove. So it's time to sit back - perhaps with a glass of Mallorcan red wine - and review the year.
Mallorca - the island that seduces us again and again
How many times have we had our heads turned by Mallorca this year? Whether at the first glance at the turquoise waters of the Caló des Morothe smell of fresh Pa amb Oli in a café in Valldemossa or the sight of a sunset that makes us believe we invented the word "romance".
Of course, Mallorca is not always perfect. In summer, the beaches are more crowded than a shuttle bus to Palma, and when a neighbor strums his guitar at half past ten in the evening, we call it "authentic flair". But that's exactly what makes the island so special: It remains unadulterated - at least if you know where to look.
A year full of stories - and thanks to you
We from isla-Travel have once again tried to show you exactly these perspectives in 2024. Be it a small, forgotten village, a festival where even the oldest Mallorcans shake their hips, or a hiking route where you actually encounter more goats than people. Your enthusiasm, your questions and your feedback have accompanied and motivated us.
We would particularly like to thank all those who have placed their trust in us this year - our loyal Vacation home and hotel customerswho have planned their stay in Mallorca with us. Also our Incentive and corporate clientswho have worked with us to create unique events and experiences on the island. They all help to ensure that Mallorca is not just a destination, but a place full of encounters, joy and discoveries.
For all that we have been able to present to you this year - and for all that you have shared with us - we simply say: Thank you!
A wish for 2025
Maybe we'll all make a resolution together: To discover Mallorca with even more curiosity, respect and enthusiasm. See the island for what it really is - full of contrasts, full of stories and full of surprises. And if you manage to enjoy your first morning coffee in the new year with your feet in the sand without looking at your watch, you will have understood the essence of the island.
Our moment of the year 2024
We would like to share a moment with you: a late summer evening at the lighthouse of Cap Formentor. The sun slowly sank into the sea, and as the colors turned from gold to pink, all you could hear was the wind and the gentle sound of the waves. It was one of those moments when time stands still - and you can feel why Mallorca remains a place of longing for so many of us.
A small wish at the end
Let's keep a bit of Mallorca's serenity: shrugging our shoulders when things don't go perfectly and enjoying a good coffee, no matter where.
Have a good start to the new year - maybe even under Mallorca's sun.
Best regards with a wink
Yours, Niels-Holger Teichmann and the entire isla-Travel-Team
