At the end of September, Llucmajor is transformed into a veritable festival stronghold: for more than two weeks, the town is dominated by the Fires de Llucmajora festival that has deep roots in the history of the town. It is the time when the locals come together to celebrate the cultural, commercial and social diversity of Llucmajor. October in particular is a month full of joy and festive highlights.
The Fires de Llucmajorwhich are at the heart of the celebrations, combine ancient traditions with a modern flair and offer a varied program that focuses on the community and its cohesion. This year's program includes over two weeks of events, with the various firas (markets) forming the highlight.

Although the celebrations will kick off on September 27, the First Fira traditionally takes place on Sunday, September 29. This day is dedicated to the feast of the Sant Miquel and is dedicated to traditional activities.
The following weekend will be a little more unusual: on Saturday, October 5, the Frikijor-festival for geek culture the Paseo Jaume III. From 10:00 to 20:30, the city is transformed into the island's center for comics, games and fantasy culture.
On Sunday, October 6, visitors can look forward to the XXIII Fira Artesana and the IX Fira de l'Oportunitatwhere local and international handicraft products are presented. Workshops, cultural events and a colorful supporting program for the whole family are also part of the program - among other things, the Trobada de Gegants i Xeremierswhere the traditional giant figures and bagpipers perform.
The big Mostra Llucmajorera, a showcase of regional craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, begins on Friday, October 11, and runs until Monday, October 14, the day of the Es Firó. Numerous stores and craft businesses from the region showcase their best products here.
The grand finale will take place on Sunday, October 13, with the Darrera Fira or Fira Ramadera The event is a traditional agricultural fair, where sheep are not allowed to be shown this year, but a variety of tools, an agility show and an impressive presentation of different dog breeds and birds are.
