St. Martin in Puerto Portals

On November 9 Puerto Portals shines again in the glow of lanterns - it's St. Martin's Day and the festival that enchants families and children every year is celebrating its tenth anniversary. From 5 to 8 p.m. the marina becomes the stage for an enchanting spectacle: the little ones walk through the alleyways at night with self-made lanterns and look for St. Martin, who appears on horseback and lights up the darkness.

This year, the festival has a special meaning: every "mission" completed by the children - be it making lanterns, decorating cookies or the wish list workshop - is donated to the Fundación Ranaa Balearic foundation dedicated to protecting children from abuse. In the evening, everyone is treated to hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies as a sweet finale.

A magical evening for families that shows how wonderful it is to share joy together and do something good at the same time.

Organizational matters:

Register your child from the age of 4 for the event. On the day of the event, you will receive a "play card" at the information desk. With the play card, the children take part in various stations: making lanterns, writing wish lists, decorating cookies and reading out the St. Martin's story. Once the card is complete, the organizers donate 3 euros to the Fundación Rana.
