The weekend promises sun-drenched days on Mallorca, which should attract many islanders and visitors to the picturesque beaches. After an already pleasant Friday, when temperatures in some areas exceeded 20 degrees for the first time this season, the prospects for Saturday and Sunday continue to improve. According to the latest forecasts from the meteorological service Aemet, the vacation island can expect bright sunshine and maximum temperatures of up to 27 degrees, and even higher in some places.
isla Magazine reports that islanders were already enjoying the warm rays of sunshine on Friday as the mercury climbed to 25 degrees. Despite the fresh breeze, café terraces and the promenades were filled with people taking advantage of the beautiful weather. However, night-time temperatures dropped into the single digits, reminding us once again of the chilly nights.
While the weather gods are still merciful at the weekend, the coming week looks less promising. From Wednesday onwards, the picture becomes gloomier, cooler and rainier. According to Aemet, the duration of the upcoming bad weather phase remains uncertain for the time being.
The latest measurements showed that the highest temperatures were recorded at Cap Blanc with 19.5 degrees, closely followed by Campos with 18.9 degrees and Sa Pobla with 18.7 degrees. Even in popular places such as the Dic-Oest-Mole in Palma and Port de Pollença, temperatures remained below 19 degrees. In the monastery of Lluc, on the other hand, a cool 13.6 degrees were measured.
A rollercoaster of emotions that shows how quickly the weather can change on the Balearic island. Locals and tourists alike enjoy the warm days while they can before the island returns to its autumnal mood.
