Experience:
Vermuteria's in Palma

If you don't have much planned for Sunday, you should start it with a vermouth, around lunchtime in Germany. The ritual spilled over from Madrid and Barcelona to the island a few years ago, and since then there have been more and more bars that call themselves "Vermutería" or at least have a selection of the flavored and high-proof herbal wine on the menu, often from the tap.

The best place to try the bitter-sweet drink is in Palma. There is a wide choice, especially in the old town, but there are also bars in the former fishing districts of Santa Catalina and Es Molinar where you can while away a Sunday.

Tasting: Vermouth and tapas

Join us on this tour through Palma with a tasting of different types of vermouth and the matching small delicacies, the traditional tapas. This experience is a highlight for connoisseurs and vermouth connoisseurs as well as for those who don't know it yet. Because vermouth is drinkable, relaxing and goes to your head quickly. Perhaps this is due to the up to 22% alcohol by volume, perhaps the caramelized sugar or the antispasmodic, digestive effect of the wormwood herb. In any case, a vermouth in your hand is a great way to chat, sip and nibble.
